 | | The Dual Wheel Extra Heavy Duty (EHD2) Series now features Hamilton’s Precision Integrated HPI™ Swivel Technology. The new technology outperforms conventional CNC-machined ball raceways, kingpinless, and unit load bearing swivel constructions. The HS2 Series comes standard with conventional steel ball raceway technology and can be upgraded to the HPI™ Swivel Technology as an option, consult the factory. | | Dual wheel casters address the problem of how to minimize overall height and maximize load capacity on resilient tread wheels. Dual wheel casters also improve stability and swivel more easily than wider-face single wheels because differential action reduces the "scrubbing" effect of soft treads against the floors.
| | These forged steel dual wheel casters are built on the proven and reliable Heavy Service (HS) and Extra Heavy Duty (EHD) swivel caster platforms. QUALITY FEATURES
Swivel Construction – all models have forged steel mounting plate and horn base with integrally forged kingpins and precision tapered thrust bearings. Legs 1/4" thick on HS2 models and 3/8" thick on EHD2 models.
Kingpin – integrally forged with mounting plate, guaranteed for life, 3/4" dia. on HS2 models and 1" diameter on EHD2 models.
Main Load Bearing – HS2: large diameter raceway CNC-machined for hardened and polished steel balls; EHD2 HPI™ Swivel Technology.
Secondary Load Bearing – precision tapered roller bearing capped with grease retainer.
Axle – bolt and nut type: 1/2" dia. grade 5 on HS2 models, 3/4" grade 5 on EHD2 models.
Lubrication Fittings – Ball-check type in swivel assembly and in wheel hubs with tapered or straight roller bearings. |
